Dr Thomas Nel

Dr Nel

Dr Thomas Nel was educated at Stellenbosch University Medical School, (Tygerberg, South Africa), and qualified in 1983. He did his medical and surgical rotation at Edendale hospital, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. He then joined the South African Defense Force Medical Corps for two years. He was responsible for a major unit in the operational area of southern Angola. Dr Nel then proceeded to build up one of the biggest dispensing medical practices in South Africa, specializing in medicine, surgery and anaesthesia.

In 1994 Dr Nel moved to the U.K. He started his career in the U.K. providing general anaesthesia and sedation in dental surgeries throughout the U.K. During this time he gained a postgraduate diploma in sedation and pain control, as well as certification in anti-ageing medicine through the University of Charloi, Belgium.

Dr Nel began practicing aesthetic medicine in 2000 and has vast experience in all aspects of cosmetic medicine. He specializes in many aesthetic treatments including Botulinum Toxin administration, IPL and Laser therapies, Dermal Fillers, Facial Peels and Laser Lipolysis. In addition, Dr Nel specialises in Anti-Ageing Medicine and Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. He is a member of the GMC, Irish Medical Council, International Hormone Society, European Society for Laser Aesthetic Surgery, World Society of Anti Ageing Medicine, American Academy of Anti Ageing Medicine and the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors.
