Cosmederm is a UK based organisation providing the highest standard of cosmetic dermatological services. The medical director Dr. Paul Myers has over 25 years of experience in dermatology and cosmetic services. These wide ranging anti-ageing treatments are provided primarily for residents of Central London, Essex and Kent, although patients from further afield are welcome to attend the Cosmederm clinics. Dr Paul Myers, FRCGP MBBS BSc LRCP MRCS DRCOG MBACD BTECPaul Myers was educated at St.Mary's Hospital Medical School, (University of London), and qualified in 1975. He studied Biophysics and gained a First Class honours degree in 1972, after being awarded the Max Bonn Medal for physiology. After pre-registration house jobs at St.Mary’s he followed a career combining general practice and dermatology, gaining the MRCGP in 1980 and being awarded a fellowship to the RCGP in 1993. Dr Myers has had original medical research covering a wide range of clinical areas published in numerous peer reviewed journals including The British Medical Journal, Journal of Royal Society of Medicine, Modern Medicine, The Physician, The Practitioner, Update , Education For General Practice, Family Practice, Health Service Journal, British Journal of General Practice, and Education For Health. He has authored and contributed to a number of medical textbooks including 'Laboratory Medicine in Primary Care', 'The Home Medical Encyclopaedia', and 'Practical Family Health'. He has specialised in skin problems over the last 15 years, and over the last three years has received training in cosmetic dermatology in Washington, Sydney, Dublin and London. He has presented original research papers on intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment for skin disorders to the Joint International Laser Conference in 2003, and to the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors in 2004. Current ResearchDr. Myers has a special interest in Botox treatments and In July 2005 collaborated with Dr Patrick Bowler in a study on Botulinum Toxin "Botox" treatment which was subsequently published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. He also has been conducting research in intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment for a variety of skin conditions and a research article on this subject was published in 2005, also in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. His most recent publication has been in the journal Cosmetic Dermatology and described the effectiveness and safety of "Lipodissolve" fat dissolving injections.
